Case Study

Driving Sustainability:
A Tailored Approach for Taggr

Taggr, a Swedish company specializing in smart sensor tags, aimed to improve sustainability for both their clients and themselves but needed guidance on where to start.

Through a 2-day materiality workshop and tailored research report, we provided them with actionable recommendations and KPIs to track when kicking off their sustainability journey.

Client

Taggr is an innovative Swedish company specializing in sensor tags - tiny, smart devices that can monitor everything from temperature to GPS locations on machinery. Taggr’s tech is a game-changer for construction equipment rental companies, offering insights into the actual use of their gear, cutting down unnecessary costs, and stepping up sustainability.

Challenge

Taggr is strongly driven to empower customers to embrace sustainability through their product, while also aspiring to evolve into a more sustainable organization themselves. However, they needed clarity on how to begin their sustainability journey and identify the right indicators to measure their progress.

Essentially, there was a dual challenge:

  • How could they assist their clients in being more sustainable?

  • How could they become more sustainable themselves?

They wanted results that were tailored, meaningful, and impactful.

Solution

We tackled Taggr’s challenges with a two-day Materiality Analysis Workshop, followed by a research report filled with tailored recommendations and reference materials.

  • Materiality Workshop: Led by a GRI*-certified specialist, the two-day workshop focused on educating participants about sustainability and materiality, while collaboratively identifying potential environmental, economic, and social impacts across their value chain. We worked together to assess and prioritize impacts, utilizing proven frameworks from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

  • Research & Report: Post-workshop, we refined the identified impacts into material topics, aligned them with global standards, and developed a report with tailored guidance and KPIs to track progress towards their goals.

Taggr was left with actionable, research-based guidance as well as a wealth of new knowledge and resources to help them create a holistic sustainability strategy.

*The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is the number one leading international framework that helps organizations measure and disclose their environmental, social, and governance impacts to promote transparency and sustainability.

Client voice

TAGGR AB CEO Andreas Eriksson

“By investing in this workshop, we're striving to streamline our efforts for optimal impact. Without clear direction, we risk overcomplicating and falling short. Partnering with Neuromagic offers crucial guidance, enabling us to allocate resources effectively. As part of our mission to accelerate earth’s transition to net zero, Taggr must reflect on how our own production chain and business practices impacts the world before we can help others make a difference. Thank you Neuromagic for a fascinating and enlightening two-day materiality workshop!”
